Best bagels I have ever eaten

We have been saved from the evil Empire! Fabulous to now have a good bagel shop in Leland.

Bagels are like the ones in the frozen section at the grocery store. Horrible. Pastrami tasted like shaved hot dog. Overpriced. The retired guy at the register was a rude prick. Not spending money here again. The 5 star ratings must be from people that have never had this type of food before. 1 star because there is no 0 option.

Very nice place to have lunch. The owner, a very friendly, outgoing. The food was outstanding, substitution s were gladly made without an additional service charge. I now look forward to working in the area , just so I can enjoy a reasonably priced, fast and healthy lunch with an awesome, clean comfortable dining area. Delicious bagels. They have sandwiches. And you can build your own bagel . Great little place for breakfast.

This is my 3rd time trying here... Hoping to get a decent bagel with pork roll "Taylor ham" and cheese. This is what you get. The other two times were the same but I gave it another chance thinking maybe the cook was just off. There is 2 small pieces of paper thin pork roll... For almost $5. Never coming back again!

FRESH bagels and great service. My favorite place to stop when traveling through Leland. Every single bagel I’ve tried is delicious. My personal favorite are the Cinnamon Toast Crunch with Cream Cheese and Plain Bagel with Bacon Egg & Cheese.The service is always great and the owner Jeff is a tremendous guy. Prices are also great! I highly recommend them you won’t be disappointed!

Fresh bagels daily with many spread options. Offer daily lunch special. Open from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday -Friday and 6:30 am to 2 pm Saturday and Sunday. Made to order sandwiches and breakfast options. Homemade potato salad, macaroni salad, egg salad, pasta salad, tuna salad and chicken salad. Fresh pastries with fruit toppings or cinnamon and nuts.

Hands down the best deli in town. The food is awesome, the service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. You get a lot for your money. The best part is the food is always fresh - no frozen reheated food here. Definitely recommend Empire.

Awesome bagel sandwich! This was an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese add LTM. Delish! Will definitely be back!

The guy at the cash register is a little salty but the food is good. Not crazy cheap but not too expensive. There's a lot to choose from. Crowds during breakfast and lunch. There is not a long wait even if there is a line. Worth a try.

Finally, a good bagel place in Brunswick County! :) I could actually eat here everyday. It's always clean, service is great, and the bagels are wonderful.

SLOW AND NOT FOODSAFE! Ordered 4 bagels with cream cheese and 1 bagel with Taylor Ham, egg and cheese and I was in and out in a blazing 45 MINUTES. How is this possible?! Not to mention as I was waiting I had time to observe their operation. Saw lunchmeat sitting on the counter at room temperature the entire time I was there! If and when I return to this area I WILL NOT be returning to their store.

Good food, great staff, good value, worth the trip

Pretty bomb bagels and subs if you ask me. Not sure about the owner everyone is talking about, cause I haven't seen him yet. But the service I have seen has been great. Place is clean too, and they got a great selection. Check it outtt.

The lady that works the register is incredibly rude. No customer service skills at all. I went there twice because I figured she was just having a bad day the first time. Nope. She acts like you're such a burden for being a customer there. Won't be returning. What a jerk.

Love this place! My kids love the breakfast wraps & they are hard to please. Clean, friendly atmosphere!

I really enjoyed eating here. The selection of sandwiches were many. Today's special was Turkey club, one side, and a drink for $7.89.Service was fast and friendly.... And it was really clean environment. They serve Boar's Head meats and there was plenty on my sandwich.... So they get my five starts today!

Food is wonderful, but owner is a bit gruff.

While waiting in line to order, previous customer and Owner? or wait person spent an inordinate amount of time discussing how " people just want a handout", there plenty of jobs, people just won't take them, blah, blah, blah. Importantly, the customer had already gotten his order, they were just chatting. I didn't mind the waiting while the chitter chatter continued. But you're a couple of ignoramuses bitching about other people's terrible work ethic while you (and another employee) stand yapping while I'm waiting. Do you see the hypocrisy in situation? Probably not. So when I was finally asked to order I declined and walked out. Way to start your day with a grumpy old man rant. Keep your bagels and your opinions.

I don't understand what part of extra toasted they can't understand??? It's not even mildly toasted, soggy bagel and it happens often. There's obviously employees that can't follow instructions. Which is too bad because I love the bagels.

Always love coming here. I have never had a bad meal. Staff is super friendly and prices are amazing. Food is so good they tend to sell out of my favorite bagels before I have a chance to get there.

UNHEALTHY place to go. Watched owner barking orders in kitchen, no mask, barking orders in back food service area where open food is stored, no mask, watched owner move into dining area to bark orders at staff more than 30 feet away from him... NO MASK. When asked to put on a mask he responded: "I take off my mask to talk (when I'm spreading the most amount of potential virus droplets) and then finished with MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS". If your business is the health of yourself or your family, I'd take my business ELSEWHERE!

The owner of this place is SO rude. The food is okay here IF you can get past the unsanitary conditions but the bagels are made by another restaurant in Ogden. You'd be better off going there, the atmosphere and employees are awesome there.

Great bagel place!!!!! by the guys please have real creamer not this processed creamer that don't even need to be refrigerated... also different cups and leads would be very nice. Cups that will say Empire Deli Bagels! Thank you !

Deli & bagel great place to eat

Awful! And I’m from NY! They taste nothing like a NY bagel. Their coffee was mud. Salads and cram cheese in a small kitchen bowl which makes it look less desirable. I can’t believe people rave about these bagels .

We just went in about an hour ago and the owner was positively rude. Kept asking us what we wanted and then when I asked what kind of bagels they had left (at the DELI and BAGEL shop) - he waves his hand around and says rudely, "We don't have any bagels!!!"...Rude, Rude, Rude...never going back. Too bad...wish I could have given 0 stars!

Best bagel place in Leland. The veggie cream cheese is amazing, and unlike most places, you get a good amount of cream cheese. They also make some good sandwiches.

We stopped in and had chicken salad on a roll with macaroni salad on the side. Delicious! The owner was great and food came out quickly. Do yourself a favor and drive past McDonald's, Arby's and Applebee's and stop in Empire Deli.

AWFUL Customer service! Please learn some southern hospitality. Attitude was flippant. Portions very small too. Really should have asked for money back.

We are from long island and we missed a good bagel... This place is heaven for us.. as close to home as we could find anywhere in Wilmington/ Leland I recommend to all
